The thiazolidines (2) and (3) were synthesized. Some of these compounds exhibit unexpected chemical behavior; e.g in the case of (3-benzylthiazolidin-2-ylidene)acetamide (3b), NMR investigations revealed the presence of chemical exchange involving C(6)-H and the NH2 protons.
