Chelates of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Fe(III) and Cr(III) with schiff bases derived from 4-benzoyl-1-phenyl-3-methyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one and aniline, o-, m- and p-toludine have been prepared.All the complexes are found to be non-electrolytes.Probable structures have been assigned based on reflectance and IR spectral data and magnetic measurements.Cu(II) complexes are square planar while Co(II) complexes are tetrahedral.All other complexes are octahedral in nature.Whereever possible ligand field parameters have been calculated.
