CH3COF and Ph3PbOAc, Ph2Pb(OAc)2 and PhPb(OAc)3*H2O (Ph = C6H5, OAc = CH3COO) reacted to give Ph3PbF, Ph2PbF2 and Ph2PbF2OAc.Ph3PbF and Ph2PbF2*H2O were obtained from Ph4Pb and HF (38-40percent hydrofluoric acid).Ph2PbF2*H2O was also prepared from Ph2Pb(NO3)2*H2O and HF or KF, while Ph2PbX2 (X = Cl, Br, NO3) and KF gave Ph2PbF2.Halide exchange in R2PbBr2 (with HF or CsF) was incomplete and gave R2PbBrF (R = CH3, C2H5).Ph2PbF2*phen*H2O (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) was gained from Ph2PbF2 and phen*H2O and also from Ph2Pb(OAc)2, phen*H2O and CH3COF.
