2586-60-9 Usage
Description
CHLORAZOL VIOLET N is a reddish-brown powder that is soluble in water, resulting in a deep purplish-red color to a purple solution. It is also soluble in soluble fiber elements and slightly soluble in alcohol, giving a red light purple color. However, it is insoluble in other organic solvents. When mixed with strong sulfuric acid, it turns dark blue and becomes dark purple when diluted. In nitric acid, it turns brownish-red. The dye solution turns purple when mixed with strong hydrochloric acid and results in precipitation. When mixed with a thick sodium hydroxide solution, it forms a red sauce with precipitation.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
CHLORAZOL VIOLET N is used as a dye for cellulose fibers, such as glue of cellulose fiber dyeing and printing. It has a good dye absorption rate, with the maximum affinity at 100°C. The presence of copper ions in dyeing results in a darker color shade, while encountering iron ions causes a slight change.
Used in Silk and Polyamide Fiber Industry:
CHLORAZOL VIOLET N is also used for dyeing silk, polyamide fibers, and their blended fabrics.
Used in Pulp, Leather, and Biological Coloring:
CHLORAZOL VIOLET N can be used for coloring pulp, leather, and biological materials.
Standard:
The standard for CHLORAZOL VIOLET N includes the following resistance and fastness ratings:
Acid Resistance: ISO 3-4, AATCC 4
Alkali Resistance: ISO 4, AATCC 4
Light Fastness: ISO 3, AATCC 2-3

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2586-60-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,5,8 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2586-60:
(6*2)+(5*5)+(4*8)+(3*6)+(2*6)+(1*0)=99
99 % 10 = 9
So 2586-60-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
