Pinusolidic Acid: A Platelet-Activating Factor Inhibitor from Biota orientalis
Yang, Hyun Ok,Han, Byung Hoon
, p. 73 - 74 (1998)
The water extract of Biota orientalis showed a potent inhibitory effect on platelet activating factor (PAF) binding to rabbit platelets using PAF as a ligand in our previous screeening studies for Korean medicinal antagonists by the activityguided purification studies.Another active compound, compound 1 (IC50=2.3*10-5 M, 7.48 +/- 2.11 μg/ml, n=4) was isolated from the title plant. The chemical structure of compound 1 was elucidated as pinusolidic acid by chemical and spectrometric analyses.
Synthetic transformations of higher terpenoids: XIV. Synthesis of pyrrololabdanoids from lambertianic acid
Chernov,Shul'ts,Shakirov,Tolstikov
, p. 828 - 838 (2007/10/03)
Treatment of lambertianic acid methyl ester with lead tetraacetate gave terpenoid 2,5-diacetoxydihydrofuran which reacted with primary amines to yield 3-terpenyl-substituted pyrrol-2(5H)-ones; the reaction with hydrazine led to the corresponding pyridazin
