319-87-9 Usage

General Description

1-Fluoropentachlorobenzene is a chemical compound that is classified as a polychlorinated aromatic hydrocarbon. It is a colorless liquid with a molecular formula of C6Cl5F and has a molecular weight of 290.33 g/mol. This chemical is primarily used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other chemical compounds and is not commonly found in commercial products or natural sources. It has been identified as a potential environmental pollutant due to its persistence and toxicity. 1-Fluoropentachlorobenzene is also considered a potential human carcinogen and is regulated by environmental protection agencies to limit its release and exposure.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 319-87-9 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 3,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 319-87:
(5*3)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*8)+(1*7)=69
69 % 10 = 9
So 319-87-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Polyhalogenonitrobenzenes and derived compounds part 4. Attempted fluorination of 1,2,3,4-tetrachloro-5,6-dinitrobenzene

Heaton, Alan,Hill, Mark,Drakesmith, Frederick

, p. 129 - 132 (1997)

Attempted fluorination of 1,2,3,4-tetrachloro-5,6-dinitrobenzene with potassium fluoride to give 1,2,3,4-tetrafluoro-5,6-dinitrobenzene in DMF or sulpholane, or under solid/liquid phase transfer conditions in toluene using Aliquat 336, TBAI or 18-Crown-6 failed to yield any products resulting from displacement of Cl by F. Rather surprisingly, the two products obtained were pentachloronitrobenzene and pentachlorofluorobenzene.

LA FLUORATION DE L'HEXACHLOROBENZENE ET DE LA PENTACHLOROPYRIDINE EN MILIEU DE FLUORURE DE POTASSIUM SOLIDE

Hitzke, J.

, p. 103 - 128 (1980)

The fluorinations of hexachlorobenzene and pentachloropyridine were carried out in sealed tubes with KF in presence of inert gas; the fluorinated derivatives C6FxCly x + y = 6 0 - are investigated and compared; the molar yield varied from 45percent to 90percent.It is possible to get directly and selectively some fluorinated drivatives as C5Cl2F3N.The fluorinations in liquid KF-KCl and solid KF are compared.

Preparation process of fluorine substituted aromatic compound

-

, (2008/06/13)

A preparation process of a fluorine substituted aromatic compound comprising reacting an alkali metal or alkali earth metal salt of an aromatic compound having a hydroxy group with an organic fluorinating agent is disclosed. As a representative fluorinating agent, a bis-dialkylamino-difluoromethane compound, for example, 2,2′-difluoro-1,3-dimethylimidazolidine, is exemplified. According to the process, an industrially useful fluorinated aromatic compound, for example, a fluorobenzene, a fluorine substituted benzophenone, a fluorine substituted diarylsulfone can be prepared with ease in economy without specific equipment.
