Usage

Description

BASIC BLUE 3, also known as BB3, is a synthetic dye with a brilliant blue shade. It is derived from the rubber seed coat and can be extracted using activated carbon prepared from the same source. BB3 is characterized by its light blue color, which makes it suitable for various applications in the textile industry.

Uses

Used in Textile Industry:
BASIC BLUE 3 is used as a colorant for dyeing acrylic fabrics. Its properties include a green light blue shade, with a water solubility of 40 g/L at 20°C. The solubility is minimally affected by temperature changes, and the aqueous solution appears green light blue. When exposed to tungsten light, the color appears more green, while the presence of copper ions in the dyeing process significantly turns the color green, and the presence of iron ions darkens the shade.
Additionally, BASIC BLUE 3 is used for graft copolymerization dyeing of wool/nitriles and stick/acrylic blended fabrics. It can also be utilized for direct printing on acrylic carpets.

The light fastness, perspiration fastness, ironing fastness, and soaping of BASIC BLUE 3 are rated according to ISO and AATCC standards. The ratings for light fastness, perspiration fastness, and ironing fastness range from 4 to 5, while the soaping rating is 4. The fading and staining ratings for BASIC BLUE 3 are also within the 4-5 range, indicating its durability and effectiveness as a dye.

3-(Diethylamino)phenol or N,N-diethyl-3-methoxybenzenamine?nitrosation, then the product with hydrochloride between 3-(Diethylamino)phenol condensation.
