General Description

5-Aminopentanesulfonic acid, also known as taurine, is an organic compound classified as an amino acid. It is found in high concentrations in the tissues of many animals, including humans, and acts as a vital part of the body's metabolic processes. Taurine plays a key role in maintaining the function of the cardiovascular system, the development and function of skeletal muscle, the central nervous system, and the retina.
