C.I. Pigment Yellow 36 is a yellow powder with a greenish shade, characterized by its water solubility of up to 1.0%, a tinging strength of 100-105%, and a specific gravity of 0.6. It has a density of 5.00 g/cm3 and a heat resistance of 220°C minimum. The pigment also exhibits light fastness of 7, acid resistance of 5, alkali resistance of 5, and fastness to bleeding of 5. It has an oil absorption rate of 25-30% and a residue on 80 mesh of 5.0% maximum. The pigment contains a minimum of 35% ZnO and 19% CrO3.
