It is a white solid that exhibits potential antimicrobial and antiviral properties, making it a candidate for use in veterinary medicine. However, its toxicity and environmental impact have raised concerns, leading to restrictions on its application in some regions.
Used in Veterinary Medicine:
2-Methylphenylarsonic acid is used as a growth promoter for poultry and swine in some countries. Its application aims to enhance the growth and overall health of these animals, contributing to increased productivity in the livestock industry.
Used in Antimicrobial and Antiviral Treatments:
Due to its potential antimicrobial and antiviral properties, 2-Methylphenylarsonic acid is used as a treatment for various infections in animals. This helps in controlling and preventing the spread of diseases, ensuring the well-being of the animals and the quality of the products derived from them.
Used in Environmental Monitoring and Regulation:
Given the concerns about the toxicity and environmental impact of 2-Methylphenylarsonic acid, it is also used as a subject for environmental monitoring and regulation. Efforts are ongoing to control and minimize its negative effects on the environment and public health, ensuring that its use is limited to safe and necessary applications.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 3969-57-1 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,9,6 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3969-57:
(6*3)+(5*9)+(4*6)+(3*9)+(2*5)+(1*7)=131
131 % 10 = 1
So 3969-57-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

SYNTHESIS AND PROPERTIES OF ARYLARSONIC ACIDS

, p. 1919 - 1926 (2007/10/02)
1.A number of arylarsonic acids with various substituents in the ortho, meta, and para positions in the benzene ring were synthesized from diazonium salts by the Bart reaction; the products were characterized by their IR spectra. 2.By the DTA method it was established that arylarsonic acid molecules were linked together through hydrogen bonds to form oligomeric associated forms. 3.The IR spectra of arylarsonic acids confirm the presence in them of strong hydrogen bonds through which they are able to undergo association into two forms differing in the symmetry of the d isposition of the As=O bonds.A form which gives a C band arises if the arsonyl oxygen participates in the formation of two hydrogen bonds simultaneously, as a result of which the molecules are linked together to form endless chains and columns. In the other form there are probably cyclic dimers with intermolecular H bonds.
