Description
Indicine-N-oxide is a pyrrolizidine alkaloid derived from Heliotropium indicum, a widely used herb in India. It has a unique structure and possesses significant antitumor and antimitotic activity, making it a promising candidate for cancer treatment.
Uses
Used in Oncology:
Indicine-N-oxide is used as an antitumor agent for its ability to inhibit the growth of various types of cancer, including leukemia and solid tumors. It has demonstrated high activity against transplanted neoplasts, such as Walker-256 carcinosarcoma, melanoma B-16, and multiple leukemia strains (L-1210, P-388, and P-1534) in mice and rats, achieving up to 91% inhibition of transplanted growth at a daily dosage of 200 mgm per kilo.
Additionally, indicine-N-oxide has undergone Phase I & II trials in both adults and children with leukemia and solid tumors, showcasing its potential as a therapeutic agent in oncology.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 41708-76-3 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 4,1,7,0 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 41708-76:
(7*4)+(6*1)+(5*7)+(4*0)+(3*8)+(2*7)+(1*6)=113
113 % 10 = 3
So 41708-76-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
