Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 42587-83-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 4,2,5,8 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 42587-83:
(7*4)+(6*2)+(5*5)+(4*8)+(3*7)+(2*8)+(1*3)=137
137 % 10 = 7
So 42587-83-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

supporting information, p. 7120 - 7123 (2020/07/14)
We herein report Cu mediated side-directed dehydroxyalkylative halogenation of aryl alcohols. C(aryl)-C bonds of aryl alcohols were effectively cleaved, affording the corresponding aryl chlorides, bromides and iodides in excellent yields. Aryl alcohols could serve as both aromatic electrophilic and radical synthetic equivalents during the reaction.
