Description
NICOTELLINE is a pyridine alkaloid that can be isolated from various species of Nicotiana, particularly N. tabacum. It crystallizes from ethanol (EtOH) in the form of colorless needles. The aqueous solution of NICOTELLINE is neutral to litmus, and unlike other alkaloids found in tobacco, it forms a sparingly soluble, crystalline dichromate. Additionally, NICOTELLINE does not decolorize potassium permanganate (KMnO4). It is a light yellow solid.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 494-04-2 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 4,9 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 494-04:
(5*4)+(4*9)+(3*4)+(2*0)+(1*4)=72
72 % 10 = 2
So 494-04-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
