The inverse electron demand Diels–Alder pyridazine elimination reaction between tetrazines and allylic substituted trans-cyclooctenes (TCOs) is a key player in bioorthogonal bond cleavage reactions. Determining the rate of elimination of alkylamine substrates has so far proven difficult.
