5092-09-1 Usage
General Description
Saikogenin A is a naturally occurring chemical compound found in the roots of certain plants, particularly in the herb, Saiko, also known as Bupleurum falcatum. It belongs to a class of compounds known as saponins, which have been used in traditional medicine for their anti-inflammatory and liver-protective properties. Saikogenin A has shown potential in various pharmacological activities, including anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and anti-tumor effects. It has also been studied for its potential in treating conditions such as hepatitis, diabetes, and cancer. Its bioactive properties make it a subject of interest for further research into potential therapeutic applications.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 5092-09-1 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,0,9 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5092-09:
(6*5)+(5*0)+(4*9)+(3*2)+(2*0)+(1*9)=81
81 % 10 = 1
So 5092-09-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

, p. 1673 - 1675 (1996)
Four triterpenoidal saponins, prosaikogenin A and saikosaponins b1, n and o, were isolated from the roots of the title plant for the first time. Saikosaponin O is a new compound, which was identified as 3β,16β,23,28- tetrahydroxyolean-11,13(18)-diene-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 → 2)-β-D- glucopyranosyl-(1 → 6)-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 → 2)]-β-D-glucopyranoside.
