51307-74-5 Usage
General Description
5-Sulfo-1,2,4-benzenetricarboxylic acid, also known as cinchomeronic acid, is a sulfonated derivative of an organic, aromatic compound called trimesic acid. It has three carboxylic acid groups, as well as a sulfonic acid group making it a polyprotic acid. This chemical can dissolve easily in water due to the presence of its many functional groups which can ionize to produce charged particles. Its structure also allows it to bind with various substances, which makes it useful as a ligand in coordination chemistry. Additionally, due to its heat-resistance and structural stability, it may be used in the manufacture of durable, heat-resistant polymers.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 51307-74-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,1,3,0 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 51307-74:
(7*5)+(6*1)+(5*3)+(4*0)+(3*7)+(2*7)+(1*4)=95
95 % 10 = 5
So 51307-74-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
