Usage

General Description

2-Chloro-3-cyano-6-methoxy-4-methylpyridine is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C8H7ClN2O. It is a pyridine derivative that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. 2-Chloro-3-cyano-6-methoxy-4-methyllpyridine has a variety of industrial applications, including as a building block for the production of insecticides and herbicides. It is a pale yellow crystalline solid that is soluble in organic solvents and has a melting point of 89-91°C. 2-Chloro-3-cyano-6-methoxy-4-methylpyridine is considered to be a hazardous substance and should be handled with care, as exposure to high concentrations can cause irritation to the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract.
