517-71-5 Usage
Description
An alkaloid obtained from Xylopia discreta, this base belongs to the noraporphine
class of bases. It crystallizes from Me2CO as colourless needles and has [α]25/sup>D - 23.4°C (MeOH). The crystalline hydrochloride has m.p. 250°C and the N-acetyl derivative, m.p. 213-4°C. One methoxyl group and one methylenedioxy group are present, the structure being that of O-methylanolobine.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 517-71-5 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 5,1 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 517-71:
(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*7)+(2*7)+(1*1)=65
65 % 10 = 5
So 517-71-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
