Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 53172-99-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,3,1,7 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 53172-99:
(7*5)+(6*3)+(5*1)+(4*7)+(3*2)+(2*9)+(1*9)=119
119 % 10 = 9
So 53172-99-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Oxidative [1,2]-Brook Rearrangements Exploiting Single-Electron Transfer: Photoredox-Catalyzed Alkylations and Arylations

Deng, Yifan,Liu, Qi,Smith, Amos B.

, p. 9487 - 9490 (2017/07/24)

Oxidative [1,2]-Brook rearrangements via hypervalent silicon intermediates induced by photoredox-catalyzed single-electron transfer have been achieved, permitting the formation of reactive radical species that can engage in alkylations and arylations.

Metal-free relay oxidation: Valuable synthesis of acylsilane and ketones under aerobic oxidation

Bai, Xing-Feng,Gao, Guang,Zheng, Zhan-Jiang,Li, Fei,Lai, Guo-Qiao,Jiang, Kezhi,Li, Fuwei,Xu, Li-Wen

, p. 3031 - 3035 (2012/01/05)

In this letter, an example of interesting metal-free relay air oxidation of -hydroxysilanes, promoted by the hydroperoxidated carbonyl compounds derived from the Michael reaction of 5,5-dimethylcyclohexane-1,3-dione and chalcone, is reported. A series of aromatic acylsilanes with TBDPS were obtained in promising isolated yields. In addition, as an extension of the relay oxidation under aerobic conditions, this catalyst-free relay oxidation induced by diketone can be applied to the oxidation of general aromatic alcohols (up to 75% yield). Rates and Mechanism for the Solvolyses of 2,2-Dimethyl-2-sila-1-indanyl Bromide and α-Trialkylsilylbenzyl p-Toluenesulfonates. α-Silicon Effect on the Stability of Benzylic Cations in Solution

Shimizu, Nobujiro,Osajima, Erika,Tsuno, Yuho

, p. 1145 - 1152 (2007/10/02)

α-Silicon effect on the benzylic solvolysis has been investigated. The solvolysis of 2,2-dimethyl-2-sila-1-indanyl bromide in aq acetone exhibits a linear response to the solvent ionizing power YBr, with a slope m close to unity (m = 0.93) and g
