Description
Acid Red 73, also known as Brilliant Crocein, is a synthetically prepared sulfonated azo dye. It is an organic sodium salt that is the disodium salt of 7-hydroxy-8-[4-(phenyldiazenyl)phenyl]diazenylnaphthalene-1,3-disulfonic acid. It is characterized by its yellow light red color and is soluble in water, ethanol, and soluble fiber elements, but insoluble in other organic solvents. It exhibits good discharge properties and is occasionally used for the demonstration of muscle fibers in conjunction with, or as a replacement for, acid fuchsin.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 5413-75-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,4,1 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5413-75:
(6*5)+(5*4)+(4*1)+(3*3)+(2*7)+(1*5)=82
82 % 10 = 2
So 5413-75-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
