54324-99-1 Usage
General Description
Chrysanthenyl acetate is a chemical compound commonly found in essential oils, particularly those derived from chrysanthemum flowers. It is often used in perfumery and fragrance manufacturing due to its sweet, floral aroma with fruity undertones. Chrysanthenyl acetate is also known for its insect-repellent properties, making it a popular ingredient in insecticides, mosquito coils, and other pest control products. The compound has been identified as a potential allergen and may cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in some individuals. Overall, chrysanthenyl acetate is a versatile chemical with applications in the fragrance industry and pest control, but caution should be taken when handling it due to its potential sensitizing effects.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 54324-99-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,4,3,2 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 54324-99:
(7*5)+(6*4)+(5*3)+(4*2)+(3*4)+(2*9)+(1*9)=121
121 % 10 = 1
So 54324-99-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Oxidative esterification of alkenes via π- and σ-organopalladium complexes: New pathways for the reaction
Kozitsyna, N.Yu.,Bukharkina,Martens,Vargaftik,Moiseev
, p. 69 - 75 (2007/10/03)
New mechanistic data on the oxidative esterification of alkenes were obtained in the study of the reaction of Pd(II) acetate with hex-1-ene, methylcyclohex-1-ene and racemic α-pinene in a chloroform solution. High yields of unsaturated esters with terminal alcohol group were found in the oxidation of hex-1-ene, while the exocyclic methyl groups in methylcyclohex-1-ene and α-pinene remain untouched.
