5471-15-8 Usage
General Description
N-(1-naphthalen-1-ylethylideneamino)-2,4-dinitro-aniline, also known as NDNA, is a complex chemical compound with a molecular formula C18H13N5O4. It is a yellowish-brown powder with no specific odor. NDNA is commonly used in the field of chemistry as a reagent and precursor for the synthesis of various organic compounds. It is also used in the production of dyes, pigments, and pharmaceutical drugs. NDNA is known for its strong absorption of light in the ultraviolet region, making it useful in the development of fluorescent probes and dyes for biological imaging. However, NDNA is known to be potentially harmful if ingested, inhaled, or comes into contact with the skin, and should be handled with caution in a controlled laboratory setting.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 5471-15-8 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,4,7 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5471-15:
(6*5)+(5*4)+(4*7)+(3*1)+(2*1)+(1*5)=88
88 % 10 = 8
So 5471-15-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

supporting information; experimental part, p. 1438 - 1444 (2012/04/04)
Novel, efficient, and recyclable bifunctional catalysts bearing ionic liquid supported (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl)oxyl (TEMPO) and iodoarene moieties were developed and used for environmentally benign catalytic oxidation of alcohols. The reactions using peracetic acid as a green and practical co-oxidant afforded the corresponding carbonyl compounds in high yields under mild conditions and convenient work-up. Furthermore, these ionic liquid supported bifunctional catalysts could be simply recovered and reused.
