Description
TRIS(4-AMINOPHENYL)METHANE, also known as 4,4'',4''''-Methanetriyltrianiline, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C19H18N3. It is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in organic solvents. TRIS(4-AMINOPHENYL)METHANE is known for its various applications in different industries, particularly in the manufacturing of adhesives and as an inhibitor in the pharmaceutical sector.
Uses
Used in Adhesive Manufacturing:
TRIS(4-AMINOPHENYL)METHANE is used as a key component in the production of poly isocyanate adhesive. This adhesive serves as an excellent binder for rubber with various woven objects, both natural and synthetic fibers, and leather. It is particularly suitable for use as a leather adhesive.
Application Reason:
Polymer isocyanate adhesive, which contains the isocyanate group (-NCO), can interact with a variety of chemical groups (-OH, -H, -NH2, or unsaturated substances), allowing for the firm bonding of objects and strong adhesion. The intrinsic bonding force of this adhesive can be maintained at high temperatures and in moist conditions, making it a popular choice among users.
Application Industries:
This adhesive is now widely used in various sectors, including aviation machinery, petrochemical, electronic machinery, transportation, construction, and light industry.
Used in Pharmaceutical Applications:
TRIS(4-AMINOPHENYL)METHANE is used as an inhibitor of the hepatitis C virus helicase. It has been found to have carcinogenic activity and can increase the incidence of tumors in the recticuloendothelial system of animals.
Flammability and Explosibility
Nonflammable
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 548-61-8 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 5,4 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 548-61:
(5*5)+(4*4)+(3*8)+(2*6)+(1*1)=78
78 % 10 = 8
So 548-61-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

, p. 2659 - 2662 (2015)
The synthesis of two new C 3-symmetrical nanosized tricarboxylic acids bearing triphenylmethane cores and three imines linkages is presented. The new elongated tripods were designed to stabilise highly porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and
LEUCO TRIPHENYLMETHANE COLORANTS AS BLUING AGENTS IN LAUNDRY CARE COMPOSITIONS
-
Page/Page column 70, (2016/11/21)
This application describes laundry care compositions that contain leuco colorants and their use in the laundering of textile articles. These types of colorants are provided in a stable, substantially colorless state and then may be transformed to an intense colored state upon exposure to certain physical or chemical changes such as, for example, exposure to oxygen, ion addition, exposure to light, and the like. The laundry care compositions containing the leuco colorants are designed to enhance the apparent or visually perceived whiteness of, or to impart a desired hue to, textile articles washed or otherwise treated with the laundry care composition.
Polythioureas: Main chain chiral polymers in hydride transfer hydrogenation
Touchard, Fran?ois,Fache, Fabienne,Lemaire, Marc
, p. 3787 - 3792 (2007/10/03)
Chiral polythioureas have been synthesized and tested in asymmetric hydride transfer reduction of ketones with ruthenium. With polyurea 18, 70% ee was attained for acetophenone reduction; after filtration, it can be reused at least four times without any detectable loss of activity and only a slight decrease in selectivity. Various aryl alkyl ketones were reduced with the same system and up to 84% ee was measured with isopropyl phenyl ketone.
