5784-95-2 Usage

General Description

2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-indole, also known as 4-MeO-PI, is a chemical compound that belongs to the indole class of organic compounds. It is a derivative of indole with a 4-methoxyphenyl group attached to the second carbon atom. 4-MeO-PI is a psychoactive substance that has been found to act as a potent agonist at the 5-HT2A receptor, which is a target for many hallucinogenic drugs. It has been researched for its potential use as a novel psychoactive substance and for its possible therapeutic applications. However, its use and sale may be restricted in some jurisdictions due to its hallucinogenic properties and potential for abuse.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 5784-95-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,7,8 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5784-95:
(6*5)+(5*7)+(4*8)+(3*4)+(2*9)+(1*5)=132
132 % 10 = 2
So 5784-95-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Application of polymer-bound phosphonium salts as traceless supports for solid phase synthesis

Hughes, Ian

, p. 7595 - 7598 (1996)

The utility of the phosphonium group as a traceless linker for the solid phase synthesis of small organic molecules is demonstrated by the elaboration of polymer-bound phosphonium salts and their subsequent cleavage to alkyl, alkenyl and heteroaryl produc

The copper-catalyzed enantioselective C-H arylation between 2-arylindoles and hypervalent iodine reagents has been successfully developed, which provides a convenient and economical route to the highly atroposelective synthesis of axially chiral indole de

Regioselective Direct C2 Arylation of Indole, Benzothiophene and Benzofuran: Utilization of Reusable Pd NPs and NHC-Pd@MNPs Catalyst for C–H Activation Reaction

Hegde, Rajeev V.,Ong, Tiow-Gan,Ambre, Ram,Jadhav, Arvind H.,Patil, Siddappa A.,Dateer, Ramesh B.

, p. 1397 - 1405 (2020/10/02)

Abstract: A regioselective C2 arylation of indoles, benzothiophene and benzofuran without directing group has been accomplished using economically cheap Pd NPs and NHC-Pd@MNPs catalyst. The reusable catalyst is efficiently employed to access C2 arylated heterocycles in good to excellent yield. The reusability of the catalyst is studied up to five cycles and a gram-scale synthesis has been achieved. The reaction mechanism is well supported by control experiments and literature precedents.
