Uses
Redox indicatorSodium diphenylamine-4-sulfonate is used as a pH independent redox indicator used in the determination of redox potential. It is used in the preparation of poly-(aninile-co-N-(4-sulfophenyl)aniline) by polymerization with aniline. It acts as a ligand and form complexes with metal halides like lanthanum(III) chloride. It is also involved in the synthesis of gold nano crystals by reaction with chloroauric acid in the presence of polyethylene glycol.
General Description
Sodium diphenylamine-4-sulfonate has the ability to form colored complexes with metal ions. Hence it is commonly used as an indicator to estimate the concentration of metal ions. It is also an efficient quencher of electrochemiluminescence of tris (2, 2′-bipyridine)-ruthenium (II).
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6152-67-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,1,5 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6152-67:
(6*6)+(5*1)+(4*5)+(3*2)+(2*6)+(1*7)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 6152-67-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
