Description
Reactive Blue 104 is a blue-black powder that exhibits a bright blue color when dissolved in water. It has poor solubility and its color can change when exposed to different acids. The dye solution is colorful blue and remains bright blue even when mixed with sodium hydroxide solution. However, when mixed with insurance powder and warmed, it turns colorless and cannot be restored to its original color and luster by adding boric acid sodium.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Reactive Blue 104 is used as a dye for cotton, wool, linen, silk, and viscose fiber dyeing and printing. It is also used for dyeing of polyester/cotton blended fabric in a one-bath process.
Standard:
Reactive Blue 104 has a light fastness rating of 4-5, oxygen bleaching rating of 5, perspiration fastness rating of 4-5, and soaping rating of 5. It has a fading rating of 4(560℃) for both stain and fading.
Preparation
Benzaldehyde ?with sulfuric acid and nitric acid nitrification, use the method reduction, with vinegar anhydride acylation, with sulfuric acid nitrification and nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and iron powder reduction, first and 4-Formylbenzene-1,3-disulfonic acid condensation, again with 3-Amino-4-hydroxybenzenesulfonic acidcondensation, copper complexation, then with 5-Chloro-2,4,6-trifluoropyrimidine condensation.
