Usage

Description

C.I. Acid Red 116 is a red dye that is soluble in water, producing a red color, and is also adequately soluble in alcohol, resulting in a red color as well. It exhibits a dark blue color when mixed with strong sulfuric acid and turns into a light orange shade when diluted. When added to a water solution with strong hydrochloric acid, it forms a red-brown precipitate, and when mixed with a thick sodium hydroxide solution, it turns purplish-red.

Uses

Used in Textile Industry:
C.I. Acid Red 116 is used as a dye for coloring textiles, providing a vibrant red hue to fabrics.

4-(Phenyldiazenyl)benzenamine diazo, coupled with the 4-Hydroxynaphthalene-1-sulfonic acid. Note: this is a mixture of dyes, it is just one of the components.
