The invention relates to a thiazole heterocyclic compound as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The invention discloses the thiazole heterocyclic compound shown by the general formula III in the specification, wherein X is selected from hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, methyl, methoxy, cyano, isopropoxy and nitro; and R is selected from hydrogen and methyl. According to the invention, thiazole heterocyclic compound shown by the general formula III is subjected to lead optimization as well as measurement of antibacterial activity and plant virus resistance induction activity and research of mixing with the existing commodity preparations; and the compound can be applied to the prevention and control of the plant diseases in the fields of agriculture, forestry, gardening and hygiene and/or the prevention and control of plant pests.

A series of 3,5-bis(indolyl)-1,2,4-thiadiazoles were synthesized and evaluated for their cytotoxicity against selected human cancer cell lines. The reaction of indole-3-thiocarboxamide 3 with iodobenzene diacetate underwent oxidative dimerization to give 3,5-bis(indolyl)-1,2,4-thiadiazoles 4a-n. Among the synthesized bis(indoly)-1,2,4-thiadiazoles, the compound 4h with 4-chlorobenzyl and methoxy substituents showed the most potent activity.
