Description
Vat Blue 48 is a blue dye that is insoluble in ethanol. It exhibits different colors in various chemical solutions, such as blue in concentrated sulfuric acid, yellow in basic insurance powder solution, and pale yellow in acidic insurance powder solution. Its aqueous solution does not change color when treated with sodium hydroxide.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Vat Blue 48 is used as a dye for coloring textiles. It is known for its excellent ironing fastness, light fastness, and resistance to chlorine and oxygen bleach. It also has good soaping and fading properties, making it suitable for various textile applications.
Used in Mercerized Textiles:
Vat Blue 48 is particularly useful for dyeing mercerized textiles, which are treated with a caustic soda solution to increase their luster and strength. The dye's properties make it an ideal choice for this application.
Standard:
Vat Blue 48 meets the ISO standards for various properties, including ironing fastness (5), chlorine bleach (3), light fastness (4), oxygen bleach (2), and soaping (2-3). This ensures that the dye provides consistent and reliable performance in different applications.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6417-56-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,4,1 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6417-56:
(6*6)+(5*4)+(4*1)+(3*7)+(2*5)+(1*6)=97
97 % 10 = 7
So 6417-56-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
