Usage

Description

Mordant Black 38 is a synthetic dye characterized by its blue light grey color. It is soluble in water, turning into wine red to blue light red shades, and slightly soluble in alcohol. However, it is not soluble in acetone. When dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid, it exhibits a red light purple color, which turns into red orange brown upon dilution. The dye's aqueous solution reacts with concentrated hydrochloric acid to form a red wheat brown color and with concentrated sodium hydroxide solution to produce a purple color.
