6537-66-2 Usage
Description
DIRECT YELLOW 29 is a red light yellow dye with properties of palm red powder. It is soluble in water, resulting in a golden brown color with a solubility of 30 g/L at 60°C and 48 g/L at 98°C. In ethanol, it appears as a light lemon yellow color. When treated with strong sulfuric acid, it turns orange red brown, and when diluted, it becomes gold. The dye solution turns orange red brown with strong hydrochloric acid, and when thick sodium hydroxide solution is added, it turns golden brown. The presence of copper and iron ions in the dyeing process causes a slight color change. DIRECT YELLOW 29 has good resistance to chlorine stability and is resistant to reduction on Rongalite and sodium sulfide. It is characterized by its acid resistance, alkali resistance, light fastness, soaping, water fading, and stain fading properties.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6537-66-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,5,3 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6537-66:
(6*6)+(5*5)+(4*3)+(3*7)+(2*6)+(1*6)=112
112 % 10 = 2
So 6537-66-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
