6825-53-2 Usage
General Description
2-(amino-ethoxy-methylidene)propanedinitrile, also known as amiprolium, is a chemical compound commonly used as a coccidiostat in veterinary medicine. It acts by inhibiting the growth and reproduction of coccidian parasites, which are a common cause of disease in poultry and other animals. Amiprolium is particularly effective against Eimeria species of coccidia. It is typically administered orally or mixed into animal feed to help prevent and control coccidiosis, a serious disease that can cause significant economic losses in the livestock industry. However, it is important to use amiprolium with caution as excessive use can lead to resistance in coccidian parasites.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6825-53-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,8,2 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6825-53:
(6*6)+(5*8)+(4*2)+(3*5)+(2*5)+(1*3)=112
112 % 10 = 2
So 6825-53-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

3-Alkoxyisothiazole derivatives as herbicides
-
, (2008/06/13)
A new class of herbicidal compounds consisting of 1-alkyl- and 1,1-dialkyl-3-(4-substituted-3-alkoxy-5-isothiazolyl)ureas and N-(4-substituted-3-alkoxy-5-isothiazolyl)alkanamides, in which the 4-substituent consists of alkoxycarbonyl, cyano and carbamoyl, exhibits preemergence and postemergence herbicidal activity, controlling effectively the growth of a wide spectrum of grassy and broad-leaved plant species. The synthesis of members of this class is described in detail, and the utility of representative compounds is exemplified.
