A bulky three-hindered quadrant bisphosphine ligand, di-1-adamantylphosphino(tert-butylmethylphosphino)methane, named BulkyP*, has been synthesized via a convergent short pathway with chromatography-free procedures. The ligand is a crystalline solid and can be readily handled in air.
