Derivatives of Pentafluorophenylhydrazine
Bagrov, F. V.
, p. 787 - 789 (2007/10/02)
The condensation of pentafluorophenylhydrazine with mono- and dicarbonyl compounds, including α,β-unsaturated compounds, in boiling alcohol stops at the formation of the hydrazones. The latter exist in the crystalline state and in acetone solution exclusively in the form of the anti isomer.Pentafluorophenylhydrazine is easily acylated and phosphorylated by the respective acid chlorides. Its reaction with phthalic anhydride in acetic acid leads to a mixture of the isomers N-pentafluorophenylaminophthalimide and pentafluorophenylphthalohydrazide. The latter predominates.
