70967-97-4 Usage
Description
SUC-ALA-ALA-PRO-PHE-PNA, also known as Suc-AAPF-pNA, is a chromogenic substrate that can be cleaved by various enzymes, including cathepsin G, subtilisins, chymotrypsin, chymase, and cyclophilin. It is not cleaved by neutrophil elastase. The release of p-nitroanilide is monitored at 405-410 nm, making it useful for inhibitor screening and kinetic analysis.
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
SUC-ALA-ALA-PRO-PHE-PNA is used as a substrate for determining chymotrypsin activity, which is important for the development and testing of drugs targeting this enzyme. Its ability to be cleaved by multiple enzymes also makes it a valuable tool for studying enzyme kinetics and inhibitor screening.
Biochem/physiol Actions
N-succinyl-Ala-Ala-Pro-Phe p-nitroanilide is a substrate for subtilisin and proteases.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 70967-97-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,0,9,6 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 70967-97:
(7*7)+(6*0)+(5*9)+(4*6)+(3*7)+(2*9)+(1*7)=164
164 % 10 = 4
So 70967-97-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
