Usage

Description

SUC-ALA-ALA-PRO-PHE-PNA, also known as Suc-AAPF-pNA, is a chromogenic substrate that can be cleaved by various enzymes, including cathepsin G, subtilisins, chymotrypsin, chymase, and cyclophilin. It is not cleaved by neutrophil elastase. The release of p-nitroanilide is monitored at 405-410 nm, making it useful for inhibitor screening and kinetic analysis.
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
SUC-ALA-ALA-PRO-PHE-PNA is used as a substrate for determining chymotrypsin activity, which is important for the development and testing of drugs targeting this enzyme. Its ability to be cleaved by multiple enzymes also makes it a valuable tool for studying enzyme kinetics and inhibitor screening.
