In the present work, triethanolammonium 3-hydroxypropane-1-sulfonate [TEA][HPS] as a novel multi-OH functionalized ionic liquid was synthesized. [TEA][HPS] was characterized by 1HNMR, 13CNMR, FT-IR and elemental analysis. In addition
