7467-48-3 Usage

General Description

4-AMINO-N-CYCLOHEXYL-N-METHYL-BENZENESULFONAMIDE, also known as ACMS, is a sulfonamide derivative with potential antineoplastic properties. It inhibits the enzyme carbonic anhydrase IX, which is overexpressed in various tumors and is associated with tumor hypoxia. Inhibiting this enzyme can disrupt the pH balance of tumor cells and impair their ability to adapt to hypoxic conditions, ultimately leading to inhibition of tumor growth and progression. ACMS has shown promise in preclinical studies as a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of various cancers, including breast, lung, and pancreatic cancer. Additionally, it has been studied for its potential role in overcoming resistance to traditional chemotherapeutic agents. Further research is ongoing to investigate its safety and efficacy in human clinical trials.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 7467-48-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,4,6 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7467-48:
(6*7)+(5*4)+(4*6)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*8)=123
123 % 10 = 3
So 7467-48-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
