Jimenez, Jose M.,Ortuno, Rosa M.
, p. 3203 - 3208 (2007/10/03)
(-)-(Z)-2,3-Methano-L-glutamic acid, a potential mGluR agonist, has been synthesized for the first time in 40% overall yield from a homochiral amino pentenoate as an easily available precursor. A conveniently protected (-)-(Z)-cyclo-aspartic acid derivati
Synthesis of 2,3-Methano-glutamic and -pyroglutamic Acid
Elrod, Luther F.,Holt, Elizabeth M.,Mapelli, Claudio,Stammer, Charles H.
, p. 252 - 253 (2007/10/02)
2,3-Methano-analogues of glutamic and pyroglutamic acid have been synthesized and the β-naphthylamide of the latter is shown to be stable to pyroglutamic amino peptidase; the crystal structure of the methyl pyroglutamate analogue has been determined.
