In the reaction of diaryl ditellurides and aryltellurenyl chlorides with N,N-dihalogenoarenesulfonamides N-(arylsulfonyl)arenetellurinimidoyl halides are formed. The same compounds are obtained in the reaction of aryltellurium trihalides with disilylated arenesulfonamides. The reactions of the acid halides with trimethylsilylmorpholine leads to the formation of the morpholides of N-(arylsulfonyl)arenetellurinimidic acids, and the reaction with hydrogen chloride, water, and dimedone is accompanied by cleavage of the tellurium-nitrogen bond with the formation of aryltellurium trihalides, arenetellurinyl halides, and telluronium ylides.
