80567-67-5 Usage
General Description
4,6-Dimethyl-2(3H)-benzothiazolone is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C9H9NO. It is also known as DMABT and is a yellow crystalline solid with a sulfur-like odor. DMABT is commonly used as an intermediate in the synthesis of various pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. It is also used as a fluorescent indicator for the detection of sulfites and other sulfur-containing compounds in aqueous solutions. DMABT is also used as a chemical reagent in organic synthesis and as a building block in the production of dyes and pigments. Additionally, it is used in the manufacturing of rubber and plastics.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 80567-67-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,0,5,6 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 80567-67:
(7*8)+(6*0)+(5*5)+(4*6)+(3*7)+(2*6)+(1*7)=145
145 % 10 = 5
So 80567-67-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

CuI-catalyzed one-pot synthesis of benzothiazolones from 2-iodoanilines-derived carbamates and sodium sulfide

supporting information; experimental part, p. 2511 - 2513 (2012/06/16)
A copper-catalyzed procedure was developed for assembling benzothiazolones from ethyl 2-iodophenylcarbamates and sodium sulfide. A number of functional groups, such as methoxy, acyl, amide, carboxylate, trifluoromethyl, fluoro, and chloro, were tolerated under these conditions, providing benzothiazolones in good yields.
