838818-26-1 Usage
Description
WIKI4 is a potent and selective inhibitor of Tankyrases (TNKS1 and TNKS2), enzymes that play a crucial role in the regulation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. It has little or no effect on related polymerases or transferases at 10 μM. By inhibiting TNKS2, WIKI4 prevents AXIN ubiquitination and degradation, thereby blocking signaling through the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. This leads to the inhibition of the expression of β-catenin target genes and cellular responses to Wnt/β-catenin signaling in both cancer cell lines and embryonic stem cells.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
WIKI4 is used as a Tankyrase inhibitor for the inhibition of Wnt/β-catenin signaling, which plays a significant role in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The inhibition of this pathway by WIKI4 has potential therapeutic applications in the treatment of cancer and other diseases associated with the dysregulation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 838818-26-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 8,3,8,8,1 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 838818-26:
(8*8)+(7*3)+(6*8)+(5*8)+(4*1)+(3*8)+(2*2)+(1*6)=211
211 % 10 = 1
So 838818-26-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
