Also disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device wherein an organic thin film composed of one or more layers including at least a light-emitting layer is interposed between a cathode and an anode and at least one layer in the organic thin film contains the aromatic amine compound by itself or as a component of a mixture. Such an organic electroluminescent device has various luminescent hues, high heat resistance, long life, high luminance and high luminous efficiency. The above-mentioned novel aromatic amine compound enables to realize such an organic electroluminescent device. (In the formula below, Ar1-Ar6 independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 5-60 nuclear carbon atoms or the like, and L1-L3 independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group having 5-60 nuclear carbon atoms or the like.)
