General Description
8-Bromo-5-Chloro-1,6-Naphthyridine is a synthetic chemical compound that falls under the category of organohalides, precisely, halonaphthyridines. It's characterized by the presence of bromine and chlorine replacing two hydrogen atoms in its organic ring structure. In terms of its molecular structure, it is made up of multiple rings with the elemental composition of carbon, nitrogen, chlorine, and bromine making up its core structure. While preeminent information about its uses or applications is not readily available, organohalides, including chloro and bromo compounds, are generally used in diverse areas such as organic synthesis, pharmaceuticals and agrochemical industries due to their reactivity and versatility. As with many chemicals, it is important to handle 8-Bromo-5-Chloro-1,6-Naphthyridine with care due to the potential risks associated with exposure or improper use.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 909649-12-3 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 9,0,9,6,4 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 909649-12:
(8*9)+(7*0)+(6*9)+(5*6)+(4*4)+(3*9)+(2*1)+(1*2)=203
203 % 10 = 3
So 909649-12-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

, p. 1311 - 1317 (2007/10/03)
Short pathways are described for the synthesis of a representative example of each of the 7,8-dihydro- and 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1,6-naphthyridine-5(6H)-one ring systems from simple pyridine precursors. An attempted synthesis of the related 4,6-dihydro-1,6-naphthyridin-5(1H)-one ring system from a common intermediate was unsuccessful.
