Usage

Description

PEPTONE is a rich source of amino acids and peptides obtained by papaic digestion of soya flour. It has a high carbohydrate content in addition to its nitrogen constituents, making it suitable for various purposes.

Uses

Used in Analytical Microbiology:
PEPTONE is used as a culture media component for the cultivation of many fastidious organisms and where rapid, luxuriant growth is required.
Used in Industrial Fermentation:
PEPTONE is used as a nutrient source in industrial fermentation processes.
However, due to its high sugar content, PEPTONE is not recommended for fermentation assays.
