917911-60-5 Usage
General Description
Benzenemethanamine, 4-(1,1-dimethylethoxy)-α-methyl-, (αR)-, also known as dexmedetomidine, is a medication used for sedation in intensive care units and procedural sedation. It is a selective α2-adrenergic agonist that works by reducing norepinephrine release and sympathetic outflow, leading to sedation, anxiolysis, and analgesia. Dexmedetomidine is used in adults and pediatric patients over 6 months of age and is administered as a continuous intravenous infusion. It has been shown to be effective in reducing the need for opioids and benzodiazepines, and it may have a role in preventing delirium in critically ill patients.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 917911-60-5 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 9,1,7,9,1 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 917911-60:
(8*9)+(7*1)+(6*7)+(5*9)+(4*1)+(3*1)+(2*6)+(1*0)=185
185 % 10 = 5
So 917911-60-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A novel constrained reduced-amide inhibitor of HIV-1 protease derived from the sequential incorporation of γ-turn mimetics into a model substrate
Newlander,Callahan,Moore,Tomaszek Jr.,Huffman
, p. 2321 - 2331 (2007/10/02)
C7 mimetics, designed to lock three amino acid residues of a peptide chain into a γ-turn conformation, were introduced sequentially between the P3 to P2' positions of a model HIV-1 protease substrate I (resulting in compou
