Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 94521-03-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,4,5,2 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 94521-03:
(7*9)+(6*4)+(5*5)+(4*2)+(3*1)+(2*0)+(1*3)=126
126 % 10 = 6
So 94521-03-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A base-mediated three-component coupling reaction for the synthesis of phosphorohydrazones

Wen, Jun,Dong, Liang,Yang, Liang,Jiang, Tao,Hu, Sheng,Yang, Tong-Zai,Wang, Xiao-Lin

, p. 10068 - 10072 (2013)

A simple and efficient three-component coupling reaction for the synthesis of phosphorohydrazones was developed. Both aldehydes and ketones participated in the reaction to afford the corresponding phosphorohydrazones in moderate-to-good yields. Moreover, a novel P-N ligand was synthesized by this method, which can act as a fluorescent sensor for iron ion.

Substituted homoallenyl aldehydes and their derivatives. Part 2: Azines

Galeta, Juraj,Man, Stanislav,Valouskova, Aneta,Potacek, Milan

, p. 40 - 50 (2012/10/30)

This paper deals with the preparation of a variously substituted non-symmetrical azine set. The starting molecule for their preparation was a protected hydrazone. The protection was performed applying Zwierzak's method. This procedure is based on the transfer of hydrazine to diethylhydrazidophosphate, which reacts with aldehydes to produce protected hydrazones. In the second step of the procedure, under the action of sodium hydride, the addition of another aldehyde affords non-symmetrical azines in the reaction with the protected hydrazine. The procedure was shown to be a useful and effective method. In this, the second part of our study, we present results devoted to the preparation and full identification of non-symmetrical azines.
