964-45-4 Usage
General Description
2,4(1H,3H)-Pteridinedione, 1,3-dimethyl-7-phenyl-, also known as aminopterin, is a chemical compound that is used as an antineoplastic medication. It works by inhibiting the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase, which is necessary for the synthesis of DNA and RNA. Aminopterin is also used as a treatment for autoimmune disorders and in the management of psoriasis. Additionally, it has been investigated for its potential use in the treatment of leukemia and as an abortifacient. However, it is no longer widely used due to its toxic side effects and the development of more effective and less toxic alternative medications.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 964-45-4 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 9,6 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 964-45:
(5*9)+(4*6)+(3*4)+(2*4)+(1*5)=94
94 % 10 = 4
So 964-45-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
