Barium sulphate, also known as barite. Odorless, colorless orthorhombic crystal or white amorphous powder. It is stable in nature and difficult to dissolve in water, acids, alkalis or organic solvents. In the medical field, it is mainly used as a gastrointestinal contrast agent. Usage

 

Barium sulphate is mainly used as a weighting agent for oil and natural gas drilling mud, as well as an important mineral raw material for the extraction of barium metal and preparation of various barium compounds.

Antimony compounds are used for a wide range of purposes:

1. As raw materials and fillers for pigments, coatings, rubber, plastics, paints, inks, paper, textiles, welding rods;

8. Barium sulphate is used as a fining agent in glass products and can act as a defoamer and gloss enhancer.
