Product Description:

Doxycycline hydrochloride, the hydrochloride form of doxycycline, is a tetracycline antibiotic. Due to its relatively broad spectrum and wide safety range, it has been widely used in veterinary medicine and human medicine. The first members of the tetracycline class were isolated from several species of bacteria in the genus Streptomyces in the 1940s and 1950s. Since then, a variety of tetracycline have been discovered, including both naturally occurring (e.g., aureomycin) and semisynthetic (e.g., doxycycline and tetracycline). Doxycycline was discovered in 1967 and has been extensively studied for its antibacterial properties as well as its effects on higher biophyphysiology.

Doxycycline hydrochloride (doxycycline acid) is a light blue or yellow crystalline powder. It has no bitter odor and is easily hygroabsorbent. It is soluble in water and methanol and slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone. This product has a wide antibacterial spectrum, effective against gram-positive coccus and negative bacteria. The antibacterial effect is about 10 times stronger than tetracycline, and it is still effective to tetracycline resistant bacteria. Mainly used for respiratory tract infections, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and urinary tract infections, can also be used for typhus, typhus and mycoplasma pneumonia

USES:

Doxycycline hydrochloride is a salt prepared from doxycycline, which is protonated by the basic dimethylamino group and easily forms salt in solution. Hydrochloride is the best preparation for drug use. Like all tetracycline, doxycycline shows broad-spectrum antibacterial and antigenic animal activity and blocks protein synthesis by binding to the 30S and 50S ribosome subunits.
