4, 7-Dichloro-2-methylquinoline can react with 3-(5-Nitro-furan-2-yl)-propenal to get 4, 7-Dichloro-2-[4-(5-nitro-furan-2-yl)-buta-1, 3-dienyl]-quinoline.
